Fai helps families stay connected through voice calls, messages, reminders, and shared Knowledge. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices people have when using Fai.

Information we collect

We collect information needed to provide Fai, including:

  • Account and contact details, such as name, email address, phone number, role, invited family members, and communication preferences.
  • Conversation content from calls, SMS, WhatsApp, email, transcripts, summaries, reminders, and user-provided notes.
  • Knowledge and relationship information, such as memories, preferences, people mentioned, relationships, important dates, and follow-up items.
  • Service metadata, such as message delivery status, call timing, device/browser information, IP address, logs, and security events.

How we use information

We use information to operate and improve Fai, including to make and receive calls, send messages, create reminders, maintain conversation continuity, personalize responses, support family visibility controls, investigate errors, protect safety, and comply with legal obligations.

SMS, WhatsApp, and phone communications

If you provide a mobile number, ask Fai to contact you, accept an invitation, or otherwise opt in to messaging, you consent to receive service-related SMS, WhatsApp, and voice communications from Fai. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to opt out of SMS messages and HELP for help.

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, SMS consent, or messaging opt-in data with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

How we share information

We share information only as needed to provide and protect the service. This can include service providers for communications, hosting, authentication, analytics, observability, email, AI processing, and customer support. These providers are allowed to use information only to perform services for Fai. We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or with your consent.

Family access and visibility

Fai is designed for trusted family and care contexts. Depending on permissions, invited family members or viewers may see selected conversation activity, reminders, Knowledge, care summaries, and relationship information. We use role and visibility controls to limit what each person can access.

AI processing

Fai uses AI systems to generate responses, summarize conversations, extract reminders, and organize Knowledge. AI output can be incomplete or incorrect, so important information should be reviewed by a person where accuracy matters.

Retention and deletion

We keep information for as long as needed to provide Fai, maintain Knowledge, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. You may contact us to request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information.

Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No internet or communications service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Children

Fai is not directed to children under 13. If family members provide information about children or dependants, they must have authority to do so.

Changes
